For the third time in as many years the CCHS Eagle Baseball Team has captured the district 12-AAA title by defeating South Side 8-4 in the first round and then defeating Hardin County in consecutive games 11-8 and 11-1 respectively.
They will advance to the Region 3A tournament Friday when they will take on the winner of District 11-AAA.

At the plate five Eagles accounted for nine hits and eight RBI’s. Jayce Goff led with three hits, followed by Lane Estes and Caleb Cole with two hits apiece. Dean Estes and Chase Crouse had one hit each.
Jaden Weaver and Cole handled the pitching duties. Weaver went five innings, striking out four and walking four. Cole pitched the final two innings. He struck out four and walked one.

CCHS vs Hardin County

The Eagles faced off against Hardin County in the second round of district play. Eight Eagle batters accounted for 15 hits and 11 RBI’s.
Jayce Goff and Jayden Weaver each accounted for three hits followed by Dean Estes and Caleb Cole with two hits.
Brooks Johnson, Lane Estes, ChaseGarner, Braylin Robinson and Ethan Burks had a hit each.
On the mound Dean Estes pitched for five innings, striking out three and walking two. Cole pitched two innings where he struck out two and walked four. He was relieved by Lane Estes in the seventh.

The Eagles finished out the tournament with a resounding win over Hardin County 11-1.
Lane Estes and Weaver handled the pitching duties and combined for five strikeouts and two walks.
Caleb Cole was on fire at the plate with four hits. Dean Estes had three followed by Brooks Johnson, Jayce Goff, Jaden Weaver, Chase Garner and Ethen Burks with one hit each.
