Eagles use big fourth inning to beat Lexington

Chester County broke open a scoreless game with a big fourth inning and rode a strong outing from Lane Estes to a 7–2 win over Lexington on Monday night.
After three quiet innings on both sides, the Eagles got the offense going in the fourth, scoring six runs to take control. Chester County strung together several hits in the inning and took advantage of its opportunities to build the lead.
Elam Murphy led the way with two RBIs, while Braylin Robison and Ethan Burks each had key hits during the rally.
Estes did the rest on the mound. The right-hander went the distance, allowing two runs on eight hits while striking out 12 and not issuing a walk.
Lexington got on the board with two runs in the fifth but couldn’t cut further into the lead as Estes settled back in and kept them in check the rest of the way.
Chester County finished with 11 hits in the game. Murphy, Robison and Burks each had two hits, while several Eagles contributed RBIs.
The Eagles added an insurance run in the sixth and closed out the win over their district rival.
