Eagles win a pair on the diamond

The Chester County Eagle Baseball team was in action last week with a couple of resounding wins over Jackson South Side and Bolivar Central.

Revenging a loss from the previous week, the eagles handed the Jackson South Side Hawks a 1-8 loss last Tuesday. Following a scoreless first inning, the Eagles scored one run in the first and led throughout the contest.
The Eagles were hot at the plate with 10 hits and seven RBIs.
Caleb Cole led with three hits followed by Chase Garner and Lane Estes with two each. Dean Estes, Jaden Weaver and Jase Goff had one apiece.
Jayden Weaver began the afternoon on the mound for the first six innings. He recorded eight strikeouts, one walk and give up a single hit.
Lane Estes pitched the final inning and didn’t give up any hits, strikeouts or walks.
Jayce Goff had one stolen base.

Bolivar Central

The Eagles went on the road Wednesday to Bolivar when they faced off against the Bolivar Central Tigers.
It was all Eagles from start to finish, defeating the Tigers 11-1.
At the plate, the Eagles had seven hits and 10 RBI’s.
Leading in the batter’s box was Brooks Johnson and Dean Estes with two hits each. Ethan Burks, Jaden Weaver and Jayce Goff had one hit apiece.
Rushil Patel and Tage Hill split the pitching duties, each throwing for three innings. Patel struck out three, walked one and give up two hits.
Hill struck out one and gave up two hits.
On the base pads Braylyn Johnson, Estes, Burks and Goff each stole a base in Wednesday’s game.
