Posted

The Chester County Eaglettes had no trouble at the plate Monday night, but a big inning by Lexington proved to be the difference in a 13-6 loss.
Chester County finished with 12 hits on the night, one more than Lexington, and jumped out to an early lead. The Eaglettes answered Lexington’s first-inning run with two of their own in the bottom half, as Karsyn Knipper and Reece Collins each drove in a run to make it 2-1.
Lexington broke things open in the third inning, scoring seven runs to take control of the game. They added two more runs in the fourth on a homer to extend the lead.
The Eaglettes continued to battle at the plate throughout the game. Knipper and Aayla Howell each collected three hits, while Collins drove in three runs. Brentlee Burgess and Leura Rowsey also had multiple hits as Chester County kept pressure on offensively.
In the circle, Jillian Patterson started for the Eaglettes, with Addy Parker working four innings in relief.
Despite the loss, Chester County showed consistent production at the plate but couldn’t overcome Lexington’s big inning and aggressive base running.
