Eaglettes enter new season with youth, energy, and high hopes

The Chester County Eaglettes will tip off their 2025–26 basketball season with plenty of fresh faces, high energy, and a clear sense that this year marks the beginning of something special.
With more than half the roster made up of freshmen, the Eaglettes will rely on several newcomers to step in early and provide depth behind the team’s returning leaders. Head coach Lee Pipkin says that while youth will certainly shape the season, it also brings excitement—and a whole lot of potential.
“This is going to be a big learning year,” Pipkin said. “Over half our team are freshmen, so there’s going to be a lot of growth throughout the season since they will have to offer relief for the main players. Some will also be stepping into bigger roles as the season progresses.”
Pipkin says the development these young players gain now could pay off for years to come.
“With experience gained, this will set the Eaglettes up for many exciting years to come,” she said. “But we have big goals for this season. We are looking forward to seeing how this team meets the challenge and how the returning players step into their roles.”
The team spent the summer building chemistry, and the coaching staff has already seen noticeable improvement. Now, the focus turns to how the group fits together once the real games begin.
“Everyone will be learning how they fit in and how the entire team meshes together,” Pipkin said. “They have already come a long way since this summer, so I’m super excited to watch them grow and develop.”
While the Eaglettes may be young, they won’t be short on effort or enthusiasm. The season ahead may have its growing pains, but it also promises plenty of memorable moments—as this developing group looks to establish its identity and make its mark in district play.
