The Eaglettes came up just short Monday night, falling to Madison 37–35 in a tightly contested road matchup.
Chester County trailed for much of the night but showed grit down the stretch, cutting a 6-point deficit to just 2 in the final minutes. The Eaglettes were down 32–26 with 4:32 remaining before mounting a late surge that put pressure on Madison until the final buzzer.
Chester County led 7–6 after the first quarter, but Madison responded in the second to take a 22–17 halftime advantage. Madison extended its lead to 32–22 by the end of the third quarter before Chester County turned up the intensity in the fourth.
Kloe Taylor led the Eaglettes with 15 points, including 8 points in the fourth quarter, repeatedly attacking the basket to keep the Eaglettes within striking distance. Savannah Williams added 9 points, knocking down three 3-pointers, including a key triple in the fourth quarter that helped spark the comeback.
Despite the loss, Chester County showed resilience and fight, battling back on the road and making it a one-possession game late.
Chester County will travel to TCA on Tuesday before returning home to host North Side on Friday night.
