Hello from Enville! I hope you all are enjoying your week. It is hard to believe that June is gone, and July is here along with the big holiday. Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a U.S. federal holiday that commemorates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America (nps.gov). The first organized Independence Day celebration was in Philadelphia in 1777 with fireworks. John Adams envisioned the day as one of “pomp and parade.”
I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday. Enjoy grilling, camping, swimming, attending parades or whatever with family and friends.
Remember that Aug. 23 is the Enville-Wild Goose Shindig. Mark your calendars and plan on a good time!
Happy birthday wishes go to Jeff Finley on July 4, Mike Pugh on July 5, Nish Herndon and Alice Geigan on July 6, Anita Needler on July 7, Shane Harwell on July 8 and Danny Williams on July 10. Happy anniversary to Joey and Rebecca Ashbrook on July 7. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
