Hello from Enville! I hope you all are having a good week. The temperatures are hot, but with the afternoon pop up showers, it cools it down a little until the sunshine comes back out; then, it is hot again. I think that is the case for this week according to the weatherman.
I hope all the farmers are done or almost done getting their crops planted. It has been a challenge for them with all the rain in the spring and now the pop-up showers. I pray all their yields will be good this year!
The Enville-Wildgoose Shindig will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, August 23. There will be barbecue pork, chicken and bologna, hamburgers and hotdogs. There will be a silent auction, cakewalk and a 50/50 drawing, and our entertainment will be our own Chester County hometown girl, Lakelin Lemmings. She will be performing her awesome music. Lakelin has signed with Nashville’s Stone Records. She is writing and recording new songs with her latest release being, “American Dreaming.” Everyone come out for good food, fun, fellowship and great entertainment! This event is sponsored by the Enville Community Club and Enville Volunteer Fire Department.
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to David Wade on July 22 and Pattie Gilham and Ethan Bishop on July 24. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Remember in prayer this week: Mary Lee Guyon, Mary Lou Avent, Robert Smith, Robert Johnson, Harold Maness, Reece Collins, Ann Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Kaye Killingsworth, Shirley Bishop, James Vinson, Jimmy Robertson, Jeff Finley, Glenn Butts, Tommy Wade, Mike Finley, Karl Starnes, Randall Weeks, all who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, our county and country, the flood victims, forest fires disasters and, as always, each other.
If you have news, events or someone to add to the prayer list, call me at 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat Cates at 688-5125 or 315-8062.
Have a blessed week everyone!
