Hello from Enville! I hope everyone is having a great week. The temperatures are a little cooler, which I am loving. The humidity is lower, which helps make the days bearable. I suppose the hot weather will return before August is over, but we are thankful for every break!
School is back in session, which means the buses are rolling. Drive with caution and watch for the stop sign to be out. Be ready to slow down or stop to keep our children safe when loading and unloading the bus. It has been a while since we had to watch for bus stops, so leave a little earlier and keep everyone safe!
Mark your calendars for Aug. 23 for the Enville Wildgoose Shindig. It will be 4-8 p.m. at the Enville Community Center. The schedule of events are as follows: 4-7:30 p.m. silent auction; 4-6 p.m. dinner with barbecue pork, chicken and bologna, hamburgers and hotdogs; 6 p.m. cakewalk; 6:30 p.m. Lakelin Lemmings, our own Chester County girl, will be entertaining us with her beautiful voice. She has signed with Nashville’s Stone Records. Do not miss her; and 8 p.m. 50/50 drawing. Please come and join in on the fun!
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Dylan Johnston on Aug. 12 and Lee Ann O’Neal on Aug. 14. Happy Anniversary to Mark and Anita Needler on Aug. 13. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Our prayer list this week is for Mary Lee Guyon, Mary Lou Avent, Robert Johnson, Harold Maness, Robert Smith, Nancy Philyaw, Reece Collins, Ann Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Kaye Killingsworth, Tommy Wade, James Vinson, Jimmy Robertson, Jeff Finley, Glenn Butts, Karl Starnes, Randall Weeks, Mike Finley, all who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, our county, country and, as always, each other.

Have a blessed week everyone!
