Hello from Enville! September is gone, and October is here! This Fall weather is so nice. I hope you all are enjoying it as much as I am. It is wonderful sitting outside in the mornings, drinking coffee and watching our three remaining hummers. Most of them have already headed south, and I am sure they will follow soon. We will surely miss them!
The barbecue festival was great. The talent in Chester County is awesome; the food was delicious, and there was so much for the kiddos to do. Annie and I enjoyed walking around to all the vendors and shared a funnel cake. The weather could not have been any better for the weekend!
On Sunday, the Enville Methodist Church and Milledgeville Community Church joined services for five baptisms from both churches. It was a blessed day. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal following the service!
The Enville Volunteer Fire Fighters will have a fish fry and cakewalk at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the community center. All you can eat fish or chicken with all the trimmings will be served. Bring a cake and, hopefully, win one or two to take home. Hope to see you all in Enville!
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to our granddaughter Reece Collins, Shirley Bishop and Matthew Maness on Oct. 3 and Doug Pickett on Oct. 4. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for Harold Maness, Robert Smith, Robert Johnson, Mary Lee Guyon, Mary Lou Avent, Ann Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Kaye Killingsworth, Nancy Philyaw, Jimmy Robertson, Jeff Finley, Glenn Butts, Tommy Wade, James Vinson, Rick Ooley, Mike Lott, Mike Finley, Mitchell Willis, all who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, our county and country and, as always, each other.
If you have news, call me at 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat Cates at 688-5125 or Kaye at 926-0723. Have a blessed week everyone!
