Hello from Enville! I hope everyone is having a great week. The weather has been beautiful. It was a little chilly on Monday with the winds whipping, but the rest of the week was nice. I am getting ready to put up a hummingbird feeder for the scouts to visit. All the other birds are eating well and keeping me busy filling up their feeders. I love them all, but my favorites are the cardinals!
Chester County Schools are on Spring Break. I hope all students and faculty enjoy their time off, doing what they love to do. Some are traveling; our granddaughter Reece, along with other students, went to Gatlinburg for the FFA Convention this week. I hope everyone has a fun and safe week!
Chester County High School softball is in full swing. They have played several games but are playing some tournaments also. They played in Linden last week. Reece hit one over the fence for a home run, and Aayla got a home run as well. Congratulations to them and to all of the team! They will play in Murfreesboro this week. Good luck, team!
Passover is on Thursday. Passover is important to Christianity as it fulfills the story of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice in dying for our sins. Good Friday follows the Passover, and it commentates the crucifixion of Jesus. There will be services at churches in your area, so please attend if you can.
Happy birthday wishes go to Nancy Freeman on March 28, Easton Knight Glover on March 30 and Lorie Jackson and Siraka Bishop on April 1. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
On our prayer list is Harold Maness, Robert Johnson, Robert Smith, Tommy and Linda Wade, James Vinson, Harold and Carolyn Wright, Rick and Julie Ooley, Mary Lou Avent, Ann Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Kaye Killingsworth, Nancy Philyaw, Joan Massey, Mike Finley, all who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, our county and country and, as always, each other.
Do not be fooled on April 1 (April Fools Day). Be the first to pull safe and funny pranks on someone!
