Hello from Enville! As you already know, I did not have a column last week. We were enjoying our Memorial Day holiday at the river. I hope everyone had a fun and safe weekend! It is back to work for most folks. We are just waiting for the next big holiday!
Another month has gone, and a new one is here. Father’s Day is in June. Let your dad know how much you appreciate him; most dads are deserving of this honor. I hope you still have yours to celebrate, and us that do not can remember the good times we had with them.
We have a small garden at our house, and the ground is dry. We have been watering it with a soaker hose. I hope everyone’s gardens will do well. There is nothing like picking a good ripe tomato for a sandwich and a cucumber to go with it. Our grass is growing well. We have been mowing every week to keep it looking good. We do not have many hummingbirds, two or three at the most. I do not know if everyone is like that or not; last year, I thought they were not coming to our house, but they showed up late, so maybe they will come on soon. I think a cat is helping to keep them away, and I am upset about that!
Happy birthday wishes go to Paul Jones on June 3, Don Willis and Dulcie Bishop on June 5, Kelli Frank and Amy Rakes on June 7 and Miranda Weeks, Sarah Canaday and Addison Jones on June 10. Happy anniversary to Jarrett and Mary Bishop on June 7. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
