Hello from Enville! I hope you all are enjoying this hot weather. We can enjoy it as long as we can stay inside under the air conditioner. My heart goes out to the ones who have to work out in it. Stay hydrated and take frequent breaks if possible. Our three grandchildren work in the heat. I hope y’all have electrolyte packets to add to your water, sports drink or some other sort of hydrating drink. I pray for all these workers!
Well, another month is over half gone. August will be here before we know it. When I was a kid, August was the hottest month. Now, that is not the case. This spring and summer got hot early. The seasons are not predictable anymore.
Yesterday was a very sad day for our congregation. Brother Shane Connor preached his last sermon at Sanford Hill Baptist Church. He and Stacy will be missed dearly as our pastor and wife and our dear friends. Wherever God leads Brother Shane, they will be so blessed to have him as their pastor just as we were! We wish you and your family blessings in your next chapter of life! It is sad that things change so quickly! Please pray for our congregation at Sanford Hill and our search for a new pastor.
On our prayer list is Harold Maness, Robert Smith, Robert Johnson, Tommy and Linda Wade, James Vinson, Harold and Carolyn Wright, Rick and Julie Ooley, Mary Lou Avent, Ann Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Kaye Killingsworth, Joan Massey, Mike Finley, Maven Vaughn (my cousin’s grand baby), who is on a heart transplant list, all who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, our county and country and, as always, each other.
Happy birthday wishes go to Pattie Gilham and Ethan Bishop on July 24, Nicky Gilham on July 25, Connie Timmer on July 26, Brayden Thompson and Blake Thompson on July 27, Gage Carter Finley on July 28 and Mike Pickett on July 29. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
