Hello from Enville! I hope you all are having a great week. Be sure to fall back one hour this Saturday night. It actually changes at 2 a.m. Sunday morning, but I am sure you all will change your clocks before you go to bed on Saturday so you will be on time for church or whatever you will be doing. They say you gain an hour of sleep, but my theory is that it is only the first night because if you go to bed the same time and rise the same time as usual you get your same hours of sleep!
The Enville Community Club will have a veterans’ dinner and program at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at the community center. We invite all veterans in and around our area to come and be recognized for your service. Enjoy a great meal and fellowship with friends. Please invite any veteran you know to come join us!
Halloween is upon us! Halloween will be Saturday, Oct. 31, and there are some Trunk or Treats going on around us. Sanford Hill Baptist Church will have theirs at 6 p.m. Wednesday night, Oct. 28. Join us for candy, games and a movie. Bring your ghost and goblins to fill their pumpkins with candy in a safe environment. We look forward to seeing all of the children!
The Enville Baptist Church is having a Light in the Night Trunk or Treat from 6-8 p.m. October 30 at the church. There will be candy, popcorn, hot dogs and games. Everyone is welcome!
The West Tennessee State Fair in Henderson was a fun place to be. We enjoyed the food, the shows and just walking around seeing the rides and lights. I hope everyone got to enjoy it!
Congratulations to our own Jaden Weaver for being the football player of the week last week. We are proud of our athletes!
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Get out and vote for the candidates of your choice. It is our privilege and right to do so! When campaigning, I like to hear what the candidates tell us about themselves and what they will do to help the people they serve. That is how I remember it being when I was growing up, and I wish it still was!
Happy birthday to Brooke Harwell on Nov. 2. We hope you enjoy your special day!
Please pray for the family of Helga Herndon (Parker Herndon’s grandmother) and continue prayers for Harold Maness, Robert Smith, Robert Johnson, Tommy and Linda Wade, James Vinson, Harold and Carolyn Wright, Rick and Julie Ooley, Mary Lou Avent, Ann Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Kaye Killingsworth, Gerald and Phyllis Russom, baby Maven Vaughn (who has recently received a heart), our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, our county, country and, as always, each other.

Have a blessed week everyone!
