The annual “FHU 5k for the Children” continues to grow every year. This is the third year that Freed-Hardeman’s Small Group Communication Class, taught by Professor Matt Barker, has organized the event. The 5k raised a record high of $10,000 for the Chester County Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse. The donation total is $1,400 more than the amount that was raised in 2022. Furthermore, approximately another 30 more people registered this year. Pictured are all of the participants of the race along with Matt Barker as he hands the $10,000 check to Chester County Carl Perkins Center Director, Kirbi Fahs.
