Harold Lewter Wright, 88, died June 28, 2025, at his home in Lexington. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at Shackelford Funeral Directors - East Main Chapel in Henderson with Bro. Kenneth Price officiating. Burial with Military Honors followed at Shiloh Cemetery in Reagan. The family received friends at East Main Chapel from noon-2 p.m. service time on Tuesday.
He was born on April 23, 1937, in the Roby Community of Chester County.
He graduated high school in Potts Camp, Miss., as the Valedictorian of his class. He retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years of service and retired from Crump Area Vocational Technical where he taught Welding. He served on the Board of Directors for Chester County Farm Bureau and as Elder of Marl Bluff Presbyterian Church and in later years became a member and servant of Stringtown Pentecostal Church.
Hobbies he enjoyed were horses, coon hunting, fishing, and traveling with friends.
He is survived by two sisters, Floraine (Dennis) Edgar of Lilburn, Ga., and Nita (Roy) Middleton of Enville; three brothers, Guy (Shirley) Wright of Smyrna, Bruce (Paula) Wright of Reagan and Jim (Elaine) Wright of Chattanooga; and long-time companion, Martha Skelton and her daughter, Joyce Ann Landreth of Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Loraine Wright; wife, Regina Henry; a brother Glen (Linda) Wright of Olive Branch, Miss.; and one sister, Peggy Hollanger of Stuttgart, Ark.
