The City of Henderson Fire Department responded to a house fire at 486 Crook Ave. in Henderson, Saturday, March 22. According to HFD Assistant Chief Chase Moore, the call came in at 8:06 a.m. and the department arrived on scene at 8:09 a.m. Moore stated the fire department was able to gain control of the fire quickly with no injuries reported. Additionally, several animals safely escaped the fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature. A total of 16 firefighters responded with six apparatuses. Moore expressed gratitude for the work of the firefighters and the assistance of multiple local responding agencies, including City of Henderson Utilities, Henderson Police Department, Chester County Sheriff’s Office, Southwest TN Electric and Med Center EMS.
