The members present were Nancy Lofton, Spring McCutchen, Becky Cyr, Toni Hardin, Caroline Johnson, Janice Kent, Nancy Smith, Ann Woods, Christine Carroll and Anita Burton. The program for the afternoon was given by Chester County Historian James Bright. Mr. Bright has been the historian for Chester County since 2018. Memorabilia from Freed-Hardeman University and Chester County High School was shared along with a book that had belonged to Sue Shelton White, a leader in the Women’s Suffrage Movement. Several prominent citizens were discussed, including the founder of Chester County and veterans who are buried in the Chester County City Cemetery. This was a very informative and interesting program. After the program, President Toni Hardin called the meeting to order and conducted the business session. Nancy Lofton read the club creeds. Refreshments were served following the business session. Anita Burton and Christine Carroll won the door prizes. The next meeting is scheduled for April 17.
