Jerry Neal Wright, 79, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in the UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. A memorial service was at the Blackwater Macedonia Church of Christ in Jasper, Ala., with his sons Ben and Bobby, both gospel preachers, and Barry Grider of Dalton, Ga., officiating. His two grandsons Braden and Blake assisted.
He was the second child born to Isaac J. and ELee Young Wright in Chester County. He graduated from Chester County High School and studied at Freed-Hardeman University, MSU, and Memphis School of Preaching.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pati” Ostazeski Wright; two sons, Ben (Jincy) Wright and Bobby (fiancée, Ashley Springle); grandchildren, Braden, Blake and Jenna Wright; two sisters, Ann (Donald) Rhodes and Judy Ellis; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and loved ones.
