Jimmy Dale Frye, 68, of Henderson passed away May 23, 2026, at his home in Henderson. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Thursday, May 28, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Les Keen officiating. Burial followed at Cave Springs Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
He was born on July 19, 1957, in Jackson, son of the late Clyde Frye and Ruby Morton Frye Crews. He grew up in Henderson and got his GED in his late 30’s.
He began helping Guy Londe crop dusting at the young age of 16 years old, retiring in 2012 due to his health. Airplanes were his life.
He met Patricia and knew she was the one for him. They married June 10, 1988, and made their home in Henderson.
He was a loving husband, father, brother and Pop Pop to his grandson, Boo, and two four-legged girls, Zoey and Maggie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Frye of Henderson; two sons, Jeremy Clark of Henderson and Zachary (Kayla) Frye of Memphis; a daughter, Ashley (Michael) Frye of Henderson; the only grandson, Michael “Boo” McPherson; three brothers, Clyde (Elsie) Frye, Jr. of Gibson, W.T. (Janette) Crews of Talladega, Ala., and Larry (Wanda) Crews of Scotts Hill; and a sister, Diane (Hudson) Crews of Selmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Tommy and John Crews; and a sister, Belinda Goff and her husband, Jimmy.
