Chester County High School head boys basketball coach Tarius Johnson has been selected for induction into the Jackson–Madison County Sports Hall of Fame. The 40th annual ceremony will take place on April 16 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.
A Liberty High School graduate, Johnson was part of two Class 3A state championship football teams and later won an OVC championship while competing at Eastern Kentucky.
Johnson is in his second year at Chester County High School, where he serves as the head boys’ basketball coach and oversees the high school’s Eagle Academy. He continues to play an important role in developing student-athletes both on the court and in the classroom.
