Junior Eagles fall short against DCMS 9-8

The Chester County Junior High Eagles Baseball Team made an effort to come back from being down seven runs in the third inning and came up just short, as they fell 9-8 to Decatur County Middle School, last week. The Eagles closed the gap by scoring on a pair of singles, three walks and an error.
Decatur County got on the board in the top of the first inning following a double to left field and a double down the left field line, the Eagles committed an error, following two singles, each scoring one run.
Landon Langford took the loss for the Eagles. The hurler went three innings, surrendering two runs on three hits, striking out two and walking two. Will Davis started the game for the Eagles. He gave up seven hits and seven runs over two innings, striking out two and walking two.
Hunter Hurst provided hope in the middle of the lineup, and led the Eagles with two runs batted in. He went 2-for-4 on the day. Langford led CCJHS with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 13 walks for the game. Langford and Hurst each stole multiple bases for the Eagles.
