Kenneth Wayne Stewart “Cannonball,” 77, of Bolivar, passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, in Bolivar.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Bolivar.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Saturday evening, Sept. 12, and from noon-2 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Burial followed the service at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Bethel Springs. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Middleton.
He was born Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1948, to Elmer Thaxter Stewart and Pearl Webster Stewart in Bolivar. He was an Army veteran, fighting two terms in Vietnam, and later served in the National Guard. He was a truck driver for 43 years, driving for several companies. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Middleton.
He is survived by his five daughters, Denise (Adam) Lambert of Selmer, Shasta Smith of Selmer, Summer (Ronny) Mooney of Henderson, Kimberly (Dewayne) Williams Howell of Selmer and Melinda (Wendell) Brisentine; five brothers and sisters, Bobby (Ruthie) Stewart of Middleton, Connie (Jimmy) Hannis of Bolivar, Bonnie (Danny) Sisco of Bolivar, Judy Wiggins of Bolivar and Rita Treadway of Jackson; 17 grandchildren, Kara, Jaycob, Jonathan, Anthony, Nick, Chris, Katie, Audrey, Allie, Dakota, John, Lucas, Cherish, Bailey, Layla, Anthony and Caleb; nine great-grandchildren; and his ex-wife, Teressa Plunk.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Barbara Sipes and Jeanette Gladish; a brother, Jerry Stewart; one stepdaughter, Sheila White; a granddaughter, Heaven L. Stewart; and his first wife, Alice Faye McClain.
