Lady Lions earn fifth consecutive trip to NAIA championship tourney

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the qualifiers for the 2025 Softball National Championship and the Lady Lions have earned a trip to Chickasha, Oklahoma to compete in the opening round hosted by the University of Science and Arts (Okla.) as the regional No. 3 seed.
The 48-team field has a combined 1736-597 record where the Lady Lions faced 10 different teams in the regular season that made the 2025 tournament. Fellow MSC teams Campbellsville earning an at-large bid while Cumberlands claimed the automatic bid with the Mid-South Conference Tournament crown.
The Lady Lions will be first pitted against second-seeded Grand View (Iowa) University Vikings, champions of the Heart of America tournament. Also in the Chickahsa Regional is the top-seed host Drovers of USAO - Sooner Athletic Conference regular-season champions - and the four-seed Stillman (Ala.) College Tigers, winners of the HBCU Athletic Conference tournament.
FHU and Grand View have met one previous time in the 2022 World Series in Columbus, Georgia. FHU earned the victory 4-2 in that meeting.
Dates and times for the opening round games are still to be announced.
