Larry Wayne Davis, 78, of Henderson passed away June 18, 2025, at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were 3 p.m. Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Davis Parten officiating. Burial followed at Chester County Memory Gardens. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 1-3 p.m. service time Friday.
He was born Dec. 27, 1946, in Chester County the son of the late Herman Odell and Lillian Ann Moore Davis. He attended Chester County Schools. He married Minnie Plunk on Feb. 18, 1966. They made their home south of Henderson.
He worked at ITT Grinnell, which became Anvil International, working there over 30 years. He served in the TN National Guard for six years, 1966-1972.
His retirement life was church, grandkids and fishing. He was a member of the Estes Church of Christ and had served as a deacon for many years.
He is survived by a daughter, Vicki (Brian) Stout of Henderson, and two grandchildren, Shelby Snyder and Blake Snyder.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Minnie Davis in April 2022; and three brothers, Kenneth Davis, Harrial Davis and Michael Davis.
