The 2026 election season is quickly approaching, and most county positions will be on the ballot.
Have you ever considered running for office, but you weren’t sure exactly what was involved?
Now is the time to begin thinking about it as we will begin issuing petitions December 22, 2025. The process can be a bit overwhelming, but the election office wants to help answer any questions you may have.
The Chester County Election Commission will host a Candidate Information Session from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in the upstairs classroom of City Hall. During this time, we will discuss the election process, including all that paperwork that has to be completed. There will be an explanation of petitions and valid signatures. We will review relevant laws and key dates as well as provide tips and best practices.
All potential candidates and campaign workers are encouraged to attend this interactive workshop. For more information contact the election office at 989-4039.
