Sydney Cherry, Lexi Harwell, and Paul Edward Jones are local recipients of the 2025 American FFA Degree, the organization’s highest honor. Reportedly, more than 5,162 FFA members across the nation were awarded with this honor, fewer than 1% of all FFA members.
In order to qualify for the American FFA Degree, members must meet a number of requirements, including having received the State FFA Degree, must have been an active member for at least three years and completed secondary instruction in an agricultural program. Additionally, recipients must have an outstanding Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program, must demonstrate outstanding leadership, have a strong scholastic record and meet specific financial requirements.
