Margaret Ann Locke passed away on Aug. 22, 2025, in Jackson. Her funeral was 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26 at Cave Springs Baptist Church with burial in Cave Springs Cemetery.
She born on March 16, 1946, in Parma, Mo., and was raised in McNairy County, where she graduated from Bethel Springs High School in 1967.
She married Larry Joe Locke on Feb. 10, 1970, and was always a devoted wife and mother to their daughter, Summer Lea (Shannon) Terry.
A member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church, she found peace and community in her faith. Her love of family extended to her animals, particularly her two blue-heeler dogs, Sadie and Cutter affectionately known as “Old Man.”
She relished the outdoors, particularly indulging in water skiing, golfing and visiting the beach. Her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those she leaves behind, guiding them with her love and cherished memories.
She is survived by her husband; her daughter; beloved sister, Peggy (Frank) Rice; sister-in-law, Sandy Tucker; and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Delton Tucker; her mother, Lottie Irene Patterson Tucker; her brother, Doyle Tucker; and her sister, Joyce Mathis.
