Chester County Director of Schools Troy Kilzer II and the Chester County Board of Education recognized the Chester County High School Class of 2024 Valedictorian and Salutatorian during their March meeting.
Daisy McManus is the CCHS Class of 2024 Valedictorian. McManus, daughter of Trent and Christy McManus, leads her class with a 4.0 GPA and a 100 cumulative average.
Trent and Christy expressed how proud they are of their daughter.
“Daisy’s drive has always been intrinsic; she’s pursued excellence in academics, sports, and leadership without us needing to push her. As parents, witnessing her dedication culminate in this honor fills us with immense pride,” they said. “It’s a testament to her resilience and the sacrifices she’s made. We’re incredibly proud of the young woman she’s become and eagerly anticipate her future successes.”
Jacob Mutter is the CCHS Class of 2024 Salutatorian. He is second in his class with 4.0 GPA and a cumulative average of 99.66.
Mutter is the son of the late Joseph Mutter Jr. and Tonya Blakely and the stepson of Randy Blakely.
“Jacob is the youngest of five and has always done well in school. He was reading at a third grade level at the beginning of first grade and was one of the youngest participants of the regional spelling bee in third grade,” his mom said. “He has been working hard for as long as I can remember to be one of the top two in his class. I’m extremely proud of him.”
