Nancy Jane Ewbank passed away Nov. 30 2025 at Brookdale Senior Living where she resided the last two years surrounded by caring friends and staff. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Feb. 21 at St Luke’s Episcopal Church, 300 East Baltimore St, Jackson. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Brookdale Senior living for the love and care provided during her time there as well as to Sandy, her housekeeper; Joyce, her niece; and a number of home health professionals over the years.
She was born Jan. 7, 1938 in Arkansas to the late Denzel Harrison Jones and Margaret Robert Jones. She worked in the medical profession at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital and TransSouth Healthcare over 30 years before retiring in 2014. She was a graduate of Beech Bluff High School and a devoted wife and homemaker. She was well known for her pecan pies, frozen strawberry jam and homemade apple butter.
She is survived by her son, Reggie Weaver; sisters, Cynthia (David) Hagadorn and Shirley (David) Bausman; granddaughter, Amber Weaver; two great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Francis Ewbank, and sister Emajean Crossett.
