New Friendship Community News

Posted

Hello to all from this little corner of the world. It was cloudy and 66 degrees on Sunday. The sun was out early, but we had rain later in the day. The weather ahead looks pretty good, and the high temperatures are to be in the 70’s. Our mower is ready, but we have mostly onions and sticks that will have to be picked up before first mowing.

Well, the Spring Break is finally here. Jackson had theirs last week.
We ate at Olive Garden last week, and it was delicious; plus, we had a gift card. Our server was very good, too. The manicotti they have been advertising is worth every penny. Families were eating out, and moms were also with their kids, enjoying time together. Whatever anyone chooses to do, please stay safe and enjoy every minute. It will not be long until school is over for the year.

The sermon at Friendship Baptist Church was very good. It was “How Do We Obtain the Righteousness of God?” Matt: 5:20, Matt: 7:13. Matt: 3-3. Look inside your heart. We have KidsZone at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday night. We would love for you to visit anytime. We have Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning, and church is at 10:30 a.m.
We enjoyed our community club meeting Friday night. There was plenty to eat, and we enjoyed games together. It is the third Friday of every month. Come and enjoy a little free time with us at 6 p.m.

Happy birthday to Darrell Williams, 3-22; Cameron Gelines, 3-23; Lauren Lofton, 3-27; and Jan Priddy, 3-28. Happy anniversary to Ann and Jeff Weir, Carla and Rick Prater and Marla and Chris Kirk, 3-24.

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” – James 1:12
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home. Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
