Hello to all from this little corner of the world. The sun was shining on Sunday. Our azaleas are in bloom, and I wish I could say all is right with the world, but it is not. Sunday was Easter Sunday, the day we celebrate our Risen Savior. Praise the Lord! We had an outstanding service at Friendship Baptist. The choir and song choices were great, and the solos by Jimmy Azbill (a.k.a. music director) and Marty Matthews were very moving along with the sermon from Bro. Glenn Harris. I do not see how it could have been any better. The choir was full in sound and number. Very impressive! We also had a very good crowd and a lot of children. It is wonderful to see all those precious children. We also had a sunrise service this morning with breakfast afterwards. There was a very good crowd. Thanks to all who brought their children and to those who participated in any way with the services Sunday!
James saw a yellow-winged blackbird Sunday for the first time. I did not even know they existed. We also have yellow finches, eastern bluebirds, black-capped chickadee, prothonotary warbler (sixth year for it!) and others that fly by for a meal or rest. I also love to hear them singing. We also see hummingbirds visit.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones. God knows your pain and sorrow.
Happy birthday to Ann Weir, 4-20; Shaun Swayne, 4-21; Cooper Jackson, 4-23; and Aaron (Radar) Williams, 4-26.

Easter Prayer: “Dear Lord, we celebrate you this day. We rejoice because you have risen from the grave. You are alive! You defeated sin and death. By your stripes we are healed. Through your death, we find redemption and new life. Because of your great love and sacrifice, we can have salvation and eternal life. We praise you for who you are and for all you’ve done. We thank you that we have a Risen Savior in whose name we can pray. Amen” – Hope for the Brokenhearted
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home. Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
