Hello to all from this little corner of the world. The temperature around 7 a.m. Sunday morning was 63 degrees. The sky was blue with white clouds today. I still have a few beautiful blue hydrangeas blooming, and we will cut them for a bouquet to enjoy inside. We had a very good rain Saturday night. I really do not think we will mow again. We will let it go to seed. James is working on another project now. There is always a little project. Everything will slow down as winter approaches.
I hope all the school personnel and students enjoyed their fall break. Now, just wait to be off in November for Thanksgiving and then for the Christmas break. I never had so many breaks when I was in school, but we had three whole months out during the summer. The wait was worth it. Study on, knowing that more days off lie ahead.
The Fair has been here, and I have seen on Facebook where some liked it while others did not. It was a big undertaking to say the least. I read somewhere that the Fair is a separate entity from the carnival – news to me. We do not know all the ins and outs of such a thing. The carnival sets the prices and agrees to be part of the Fair. Next year, if our town has it again, maybe those who were disappointed can volunteer for a few hours or give thoughts on how to improve. I do not know the set up, but I would sure enjoy a tractor pull here again. Being a city transplant, seeing the first one when we moved here was sure exciting.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones. Prayers for strength and peace of mind.

“We all have bad days, of course. Inevitably, we will displease, or even hurt, someone at some point. But what if we went through today or tomorrow with the aim of always seeking to do good to everyone? What do you think would change? How would others respond? Perhaps instead of seeing others as obstacles or roadblocks, we’d see them more as men and women with dignity, who are worthy of love and respect. Or perhaps instead of us treating some people like enemies, we would begin to understand their positions and even genuinely begin to appreciate them. Whatever the specific situations you encounter, God has placed you in this world for good. It is your privilege and your pleasure to share His kindness and His goodness with anyone and everyone you can.” www.crosswalk.com/devotionals/truth-for-life/truth-for-life-october-18-2025.
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
