Hello to all from this little corner of the world. Sunday was a beautiful day! The sun was shining, and the sky was a light blue with white clouds. We have had two hummingbirds and had our first yellow finch. YAY! Everything is green, and our azaleas are in bloom. A special friend gave me a windchime in memory of Pepper, and it is hanging on our deck now. Pepper will be gone three weeks this Tuesday, and my heart is lonesome without him, but we did not want him to suffer for us. He was so in tune with me. He may be the last knot in the rope for me, as I do not think there will be another to know me like he did. I love animals, but I do not want to see another one die. I hope anyone that loses a furbaby feels God’s comfort. We have lost a son, so I know it takes time to keep pressing forward but, we will. Grief is the price of great love.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones.
We had a very good Sunday morning at Friendship Baptist Church. The worship service began with two baptisms, and Bro. Fred Morris preached. I am sure it brought good memories back to when he preached there in previous years.
We are halfway through April. Are y’all enjoying your summer? Oops, I mean spring with summer temperatures. There is a very good chance of rain Thursday. The forecast for Sunday, April 19 is 66 degrees, and then the next several days it should be the upper 70s. Enjoy everyday life regardless of the weather; it is such a wondrous gift.
Happy birthday to John Thomas Wells, 4-12; Bristen Matheney, 4-13; and Josh Fahs, 4-16.

“What must I do to ensure peace of mind? Is the answer I’m seeking too hard to find? How can I know what God wants me to be? How can I tell what’s expected of me? Where can I go for guidance and aid to help me correct the errors I’ve made? The answer is found in doing three things, and great is the gladness that doing them brings. Do justice. Love kindness. Walk humbly with God. For with these three things as your rule and your rod, all things worth having are yours to achieve, if you follow God’s words and have faith to believe.” – unknown
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home. Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
