Hello to all from this little corner of the world. The skies were gray, and it is an overcast sky on Thursday. We had a very good rain a couple of days ago. Rain is forecasted off and on throughout this week. I am sure the farmers are happy about this. We have been in a drought for some time, and it was very nice to see crops growing and green as we were out and about this week. It is very enjoyable to watch our birds and see the flowers we planted. Nature is a wonderful relaxer. James continues to recuperate from surgery. He can not lift over 15 pounds until next month and then, he can not lift over 30 pounds for a month.
We attended the Chester County High School graduation last Monday night, May 18, at Freed-Hardeman. Tickets were given out by each graduate, and it seemed everything ran smoothly. There was, of course, great attendance. I enjoyed the speeches by Cooper Anderson and Rushil Patel. We had our grandson, Braxton Ellis, graduate. He plans to attend Memphis State and then Mississippi State to be a Veterinarian. I wish each and every graduate a wonderful life. Believe in yourself! Love yourself! Life is hard outside the confines of home, but look around and see all those that have traveled the road ahead of you and made it. Help others and be kind. As we grow, we learn. Enjoy the journey.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones.

I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
