New Friendship & Mifflin Community News

Posted

Hello to all from this little corner of the world. Sunday was a partly cloudy day, and we had a few quick showers after church. It was 81 degrees at the time of this writing, and the feel like temperature was 88. We are supposed to have some very hot, humid weather this week. Tuesday through Thursday has temperatures at 92 and 93 degrees, and that is not factoring in the humidity. We mowed Saturday, knowing the weather predictions ahead; although, the forecast changes at the drop of a hat. I guess it is to be expected as we are beginning the summer months. Some will have pools to cool off; other young children could go to the splash pad at Gene Record Park. When we were young, our daddy would hold the water hose, and we had fun running through it. I guess now people would put a sprinkler on the hose for the kids to have fun on hot days.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones.
