Hello to all from this little corner of the world. The sun was out Saturday morning, and the temperature was 86 degrees but felt like 96. The sky was a light gray with white clouds at the time of this writing. We continue to have three hummers and our usual birds. It is very hard to keep the floors clean after mowing the grass. The answer is to change your shoes and brush the new puppy off. Remi seems to be improving, but please pray for his recovery. Hopefully, it is just a strain/sprain. He is such a sweet furbaby. We went with a group from church on Saturday to eat at The Farmhouse Country Cafeteria in Lexington.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones. I know the days seem long, but time does go by so fast. We do not realize it until it is gone. A child is born, and we are so busy living that before we know it they are celebrating their first birthday. God helps us along the journey of loss and grief. Keep Him close in heart and mind.
Happy birthday to Jeremy Ellis and Pat N. Jones, 8-9; Timothy Berry, 8-10; Justin Bishop, Pat Connor and Vance Connor, 8-11; Kathy Vest, 8-14; and Teresa McCaskill and Colby King, 8-15.
Happy anniversary to Margie and Carlis McGhee, 8-15.
Prayer requests for Doug and Donna Bishop, Walker Bishop, Chastity King, Darren Hatch, Danny and Gail Hodges, Alvin and Eva Jones, Kenneth Maness, Elaine Matthews, Harold Nobles, Julia Parchman, Beth Plunk, Pam Priddy, Jimmy Redden, Teresa Tedford, Cheryl Tobey, John Webb and Charles and Natalie Wray. Also, remember our first responders, military, firefighters and law enforcement officers.
“One day, you will be the photograph. The black-and-white face on some wall, pointed at by a child who never knew you, while someone explains who you were in a single sentence. It is being written now-by how you love, what you forgive, what you build and refuse to break. We spend so long being descendants. We forget we are already someone’s ancestor, under construction.” - Kara Miller-Ebersole
I pray all of you will have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I’d truly appreciate any news. People from here and those that have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
