Hello to all from this little corner of the world. Sunday was a beautiful day with clear, blue skies and a temperature of 64 degrees. There was also an occasional, slight breeze noted. Our birds are continuing to visit, but they seem to have decreased in visits. We have not done any fall decorating, but I would like a few pansies for our deck. We might put a pumpkin out. The weather forecast for the upcoming week calls for temperatures to be from the mid to upper 70s, followed by a few days in the 80s and then back to the 70s again. I sure enjoy this weather. Remy is improving daily on his behavior. He is six months old now. He is a very loving little boy.
The West TN State Fair will be in town through Oct. 24. The weather is great for the fair, and admission is only $5. I read where armbands are $35. I guess I would have to try and save up a little here and there for that if there were several children. I do not think armbands were a thing when I was growing up. The fair in Jackson at the fairgrounds was really something to see. The midway was full of games of chance, and further down were the rides, which is what we were mainly interested in. It seems they were 50 cents a ride. We enjoyed cotton candy and fiddlesticks and usually got a little token toy at the end. We went through the exhibits to see all the things people had entered. The lights were the BIG thing that could take a young person’s breath away. I loved all those lights. Now, I am older, and the excitement is gone, but I am glad the children and others can come to Chester County to enjoy the Fair.
Fall break is over for Chester County schools, and they will be back in full swing. I sure hope the sickness goes away and stays at bay.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones. There is no timetable for grief, and each person grieves differently. Be patient with yourself and others. Prayers for all. God bless.
