While most people spent their fall break relaxing, the Chester County Football team spent it working. On Friday, October 14, the Eagles faced off against the Lexington Tigers at our last home game of the season. Before the game, Chester County hosted its annual Senior Night, where the seniors from the cheerleading, football, and tech teams were honored. The Eagles kept it close with the Tigers all night. The score was tied up 14 all with less than two minutes left in the game. With the help of a lucky field goal with less than a minute left, the Eagles came up just short in a hard-fought matchup against the Tigers with the final score being 17-14. The Eagle’s next game will be October 20, against the Bolivar Tigers.
In other sports news, the Chester County Girl’s soccer team is still fighting strong in their respective season. They were named District Runner-Up in their hard-fought loss to the McNairy Bobcats. Even with this loss, the Eagles were able to punch their ticket to Regional play. Their first game of the regional tournament was against Dyersburg on Tuesday, October 18.
I want to continue to thank the city of Henderson and Chester County for their continued support of us here at CCHS.
God Bless and Go Eagles!
