The Alliance Shirt orders should have been brought home earlier this week. If you have any questions please give them a call. The shirts all looked great!
Every student that has perfect attendance each month will receive five eagle bucks. These bucks can be redeemed throughout the school year for different events - hat day, jeans day, dress down day, VIP lunch, hanging with heroes just to mention a few. Please encourage your child to be at school every day that they can so they can earn bucks.
Fourth graders are analyzing illustrations and using figurative language to write an evidence/elaboration sentence set which will lead to writing paragraphs. In math students are reading and writing multi-digit whole numbers using standard form, word form and expanded form. Our fifth graders are writing informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic to convey ideas and information. In fifth grade math, they are learning to determine how much smaller or larger a digit is when moved to a different place value.
Our activity period classes are in full swing: Library, Academic Lab and Computer Lab. PE classes are staying inside due to the heat. They are playing a variety of games and having great participation from all students.
The pickup line is going smoother now that we are in the fifth week of school. Reminders - be sure to stay in your car, have your child’s name card visible for the helpers to see; and remember we do have three lanes.
No school on Monday, Sept. 5, in observance of Labor Day. Progress reports should come home on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Picture orders are due Sept. 7.
