Jacks Creek Elementary School was so excited to begin our school year! We had been missing your sweet children for months and praying and preparing for this first week! We are taking every precaution we can to make your children feel safe and are excited about the lessons we have prepared for them! Read on to see what fun things we did on our first week of school!
Kindergarten got off to a great start. We divided each class into two groups to help the students adjust to coming to school for the first few days. We are looking forward to having all students attend starting Wednesday, Aug. 19. Thanks to all the parents who were able to attend our meet the parent night and parent orientation. We are looking forward to a great year.
Our first graders did a great job at settling in here at Jack’s Creek Elementary. They practiced all the new first grade rules and procedures and did great! They had a lot of fun getting to know one another again and participating in the “All About Me” activities!
We worked diligently in second grade to learn all new rules and procedures. We did a great job and picked up things quickly. We also worked hard on social distancing, wearing masks and sanitizing. We also got familiar with having breakfast in the classroom and lunch with our classroom only. We prepared for math by taking a placement test. In reading we listened to various character building books and then completed an activity. This year started off great and is going to be awesome!
We had an awesome first week in third grade! We can not wait to learn new things. The students loved seeing new and old friends. This is a unique year; however, we are making the best of it. In reading, we started to read the novel, Third Grade Angels. In math, we reviewed addition and subtraction from prior grades. Parents, please be on the lookout for important letters or paper work being sent home. Please return to school as soon as possible.
Notes from the Principal: This new school year brings new challenges, but we are determined to continue to give our students our absolute best! We look forward to working with you as we watch your child grow and learn. Please take time to read all notes, letters, forms, etc., that are sent home with your child. Each document is important; some require your signature.
