Hello from Enville! Well, this week is a lot better than last week with the warmer temperatures and lots of sunshine, and having several days without rain is nice. I think it will dry up enough to mow our yard as well as the camper lots and help those recovering from the tornado damage with their cleanup efforts. Prayers go out to each of you!
I hope everyone had a blessed Easter with your family. It was a beautiful day to attend church services and have your Easter egg hunts in the afternoon. I saw lots of pictures of kiddos hunting eggs on Facebook. I love seeing their happy faces. My family had a great day with church, a good home cooked meal and a nap in the afternoon! Annie Massengill hosted an Easter lunch at her house after church along with Easton and JP, Parker, Molly, Nish, Harold and Frankie. They had a great day with lots of delicious food and fellowship!
The ladies of the Enville Methodist Church hosted their annual Good Friday luncheon. My sister, Joan, and I along with other ladies from the community attended the luncheon. The food was delicious; the devotion, given by Stephanie Middleton was uplifting; the group singing of hymns was beautiful; and the fellowship was wonderful. Thanks, ladies! I am looking forward to next year!
Happy birthday wishes go out to Richard Maness on April 15 and Melissa Maness, Marilyn Smith Mooney and our son-in-law Kelley Collins on April 16. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Mark your calendars for May 13! The Enville Volunteer Fire Department will have their annual barbeque. They are pre-selling tickets for ribs only; please see a fire department member for tickets. The community center committee will have a bake sale. Please donate baked goods for this! The Enville Community Club met last Tuesday night. We had a good crowd and a great meal. Our speaker was Enville Fire Chief, Thomas Gilham. He handed out smoke detectors to those who needed them. Our business meeting followed his presentation.
Please pray for Lisa Bishop, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Robert and Linda Johnson, Ann Pugh, Emily Freeman, Ashley Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Tim Harris, James Vinson, Loretta Plunk, Rick Ooley, Jimmy Robertson, Kathy Emerson, Joann Fowler, Dot Smith, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, those who have lost loved ones, tornado victims and, as always, each other.
If you have news to share, call me at 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125.
Have a blessed week everyone!
