Greetings from Sweetlips. Hope all of you survived that last cold snap. It looked like a winter wonderland out here. There were a lot of tree limbs and small trees down from weight of the ice. It was beautiful.
Just one last reminder, the stew is this Saturday, Feb. 11. Stew will be ready around 10 a.m. You must bring your own containers. You may bring your roast cooked, deboned and left it its own juices to the community center on Friday evening as well as your baked items. Be sure to put your name on baked items and let us know what it is. We will peel 150 pounds of potatoes on Friday, Feb. 10. You may preorder by calling any of the following numbers - Neal at 989-7342, JoAnn at 989-7523, Cindy at 989-2046 or Dianne at 08-2583. When the stew is gone, we will start cleaning, so please get here to pick up your order.
Dianne Williams is once again filling out income taxes. If you need to schedule an appointment or if you have questions, call 608-2583.
On the prayer list, Pam Coyne, Ray DuPont, Gordon Russell, Alton Kinchen, Tony Trussell, Mike and Joe Russell, Avery Todd, Liz Russell, Olivia Springer, Stacey Hurt, JoAnn Greer, and all those that I may not have been contacted about.
Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Dubert (Sonny) Russell and Gary McEarl.
Remember Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. It does not have to be this grand production, sometimes it is the smallest of things that matter the most. Just take the time to acknowledge and appreciate the special someone is always there.
Hope to see you Saturday. Have a great week!
