Peggy Jean Marsh Weaver of Henderson passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 9, 2025, at Henderson Health and Rehab.
Graveside services were 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Methodist Church Cemetery with Brother Anthony Rowland officiating. The family received friends at the cemetery beginning at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
She was born April 3, 1932, the daughter of the late Burl Odell (Dell) and Sudie Lavelle Gilland Marsh. She grew up in the Montezuma Community of Chester County, attended Montezuma Elementary and Chester County High School and lived at Montezuma until the age of 21. She married Charles Spencer Weaver in October 1949. They moved to Detroit, Mich., in 1951.
While living in Detroit, she worked for a drug store and managed apartment buildings. They moved to Taylor, Mich., in September of 1965, while living there she worked for a department store. They moved back to Montezuma in June 1975. Mr. Weaver preceded in death in 2000.
She accepted Christ as her Savior in January 1954 and joined Temple Baptist Church in Detroit. She was currently a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Ercel, James and J. D. Marsh, and sister, Dorothy Kilby.
