Allene Parrish, the daughter of Thomas Odell and Lillian Hearn Parrish, was born December 26, 1892. Her father was a farmer, police chief, and merchant in Henderson. Allene married Roy Watlington on June 26, 1918. They lived in Jacks Creek where he was a prominent citizen of the community. Roy died in 1945 at the age of 64. Allene took his place as postmaster for a time before moving back to Henderson. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the First United Methodist Church in Henderson. She died June 26, 1993, at the age of 100. She was buried beside her husband in Henderson City Cemetery.
