Ramell Barker Cherry Johnson, 97, of Reagan passed away Nov. 13, 2025, at Lexington Manor-Lexington Post Acute. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Sam Williams and Jason Cherry officiating. Burial followed at Cabo Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday and from noon until 2 p.m. service time on Sunday. 
She was born March 6, 1928, in Henderson County, near Sardis, and grew up in the Center Hill Community, the daughter of the late Eddie Franklin and Ida Mae Brown Barker. She attended school in Chester County. She was married to Curtis Cherry in 1947, and they made their home in the Roby and Center Point Communities. Mr. Cherry passed away in 1960. She later married Horral Johnson in 1972, and they made their home near Reagan. Mr. Johnson passed away in 1987.
She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Reagan and a member of the Sardis Senior Citizens.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Neal (Janice) Cherry of Enville and Benny (Shelia) Cherry of Reagan; a daughter, Janice (Thomas) Roach of Enville; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Wendy) Cherry, Brent (Melissa) Cherry, Jason (Brandy) Cherry, Jonathan (Carrie) Cherry and Chad (Holly) Roach; 10 great-grandchildren, Meghan (Reece) McDowell, Sydney Cherry, Bristol Cherry, Cason Roach, Emery Roach, Annie Roach, Lila Cherry, Kye Cherry, Hanna Cherry and Kendall Cherry; and one great-great grandchild, Rylee McDowell.   
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Sue Mount and Julie Mae Barker.
