RONNIE ROWLAND – April 5, 1948 – April 8, 2025

Ronald Rowland, 77, of Bethel Springs passed away April 8, 2025, at his home. Funeral services were 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Phil Willis officiating. Burial followed at Palestine Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue beginning at 1:30 p.m. Saturday until service time.
He was born April 5, 1948, in Chester County, where he lived his entire life, the son of the late Curtis and Velma Capps Rowland. He attended Chester County High School. He entered the U.S. Army in 1968 and was stationed in Germany. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve and continued in the TN National Guard for 20years. He obtained the rank Sergeant, F-5.
He married Patricia Pace. They made their home in Finger and the Woodville, Masseyville area.
He worked at Brown Shoe in Selmer and American Olean Tile, where he retired. He stayed very active in odd jobs after his retirement.
He enjoyed fishing and loved watching and attending races as a Dale Earnhardt fan!
He is survived by a son, Steven Rowland of Henderson; two grandchildren, Payton Rowland and Matthew Rowland; three great-grandchildren, Sohpie Rowland, Rhyan Rowland and Rafe Rowland; a sister, Verbaleen Burkeens of Pinson; and a companion, Glenda Herald of Bethel Springs. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Bud Rowland, Gaylon Rowland, Jackie Rowland and Lloyd Rowland.
