Sandra Lynn Russell (Beason), 60, passed away on March 22, 2025 in Lexington.
A celebration of life will be held in her honor on April 6 from 1-3 p.m. at Dyer Chapel, located at 26115 SR-104 in Lexington.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CASA at Home: CASA of Henderson County. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for You are with me.” (Psalm 23:4).
Born on Jan. 14, 1965, in Paragould, Ark., she dedicated her life to caring for others. She worked hard to earn an Associate of Science degree in Accounting from Jackson State Community College.
Her passions were crocheting and giving back to her community. She was awarded CASA Volunteer of the Year in 2022.
Her kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who met her.
She is survived by her two children, Heather Turner and Jared (Shana) Russell. She was also a cherished daughter to Lula Nash and a beloved sister to Derick (Yolanda) Maness. She was known as MeMe to her grandchildren, Kynleigh, Lyric, Cooper and Adeline.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Daryl McCollum.
