Silerton Baptist Church had a guest pastor this past Sunday. Pastor Johnny Connor from Glendale Road filled in for Pastor Charlie while he is away. Pastor Connor gave a heartfelt and interesting sermon. Pastor Charlie would be pleased to know that, even though there was a substitute pastor, his flock behaved admirably.
Several fun children’s activities will be happening in Silerton this summer. Silerton Baptist Church will be hosting Vacation Bible School (VBS) from June 20-22 for children ages three to 13. This year’s theme is “Celebrating God’s Greatest Gift.” The times for this event are 5:30-8:30 p.m. June 20 and 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. June 21. The commencement will be during the 11 a.m. church service on June 22. All are welcome and look for more information to come. Also, on Wednesday, there will be children’s Bible Study and fellowship in the park from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Chair Yoga at Silerton Baptist for the next two weeks will change from Tuesday/Thursday to 10 a.m. on Monday and 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Instruction will include stretching and light weights.
