The Silerton City Council met on June 24. It was announced that the rubber mulch had arrived for the playground at the park. Ricky Wilson just finished spreading the mulch along with weed barrier sheeting.
The Silerton Volunteer Fire Department is going through some dire times. The Fire Department is sorely in need of volunteers; otherwise, there is a danger that the department will shut down. It needs people that are willing to commit to training, etc. If interested, please contact anyone on the City Council.
Silerton Baptist Church just had their fifth Sunday lunch. A good time of fellowship was had by all.
The Frys visited Mary Lynn Lambert’s house in Saulsbury this past weekend. They toured her lovely garden and were served ice cream and cookies. The main purpose of the visit was to marvel at the magnificent fountain that was set up at the pond. A majestic fountain it is! Stupendous in its height (birds had better keep an eye out) and glory. I wonder if this will cause a fountain war to start in Saulsbury?
